2 Alarms – 97 Prospect Street – Woburn

I was just getting lunch for my wife when this apparently came in, I say apparently, as I never heard it. I was just sitting down to eat with her, and the Iphone messages started that Woburn had a second alarm.

As a side note, a small group of firefighters and buffs had a little pool going on where the first multiple alarm in MetroFire Dist 13 (excluding Boston) would be. I chose a town other than Woburn, figuring it would never happen – no one else chose Woburn either, so no one won the pool!

Woburn Police Swearing-In of New Police Chief

With the recent retirement, after 25 years as Chief and 41 on the job, of Phil Mahoney, Woburn Mayor Scott Galvin chose his successor to be Lt. Robert J Ferullo Jr.

Lt Ferullo was sworn in on a recent September evening, and assumes command of a department in flux.

We wish Chief Ferullo well.

The Disappearing Plane – My Attempt to be Mark G !

Photographing girls soccer in Reading today, I noticed a heavy cloud deck just to the east, and I noticed that the planes on approach to Logan, were coming in and out of the clouds. I was lucky enough to grab a photo (below) of this unidentified plane, disappearing into the clouds, as it continued on final appraoch.

If you would like to see the most awesome aviation photos, please vist my friend Mark Garfinkel’s website at: http://www.pictureboston.com
