McNeil – Backry Wedding
I had a most enjoyable time at tonight’s wedding. It was held at the Haverhill (MA) Country Club – a spectacular venue.

Winchester MA – Truck Rollover Video
The WInchester Fire Department was called to South Gateway, a small residential road off of Main Street at the Medford line, for the call of a tractor trailer roll over. Upon arrival they found an 18 wheel dump truck, on its side after the load shifted. There were NO injuries. Here, the truck is uprighted by two very large (!) wreckers from G&J Towing of Revere.

The 40th Green and Blue Revue!
Wow it is hard to beleive that it has been 40 years since Lolly Gilgun started the Green and Blue Revue at the Joyce Middle School.
I remember being in it when I went to the school in the late 1970′s!
So here is a short video clip of the finale – the song is “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” and this year, the whole show was directed by Joyce Music teacher Sarah Bowe! Enjoy!

Meet Logan Foster
I had the opportunity to meet a very special youngster the other day – Woburn’s Logan Foster.
He is three years old and just had a brain tumor removed – he has Medullomyoblastoma cancer and it is very rare.
He visited the fire station and was treated like a king by Woburn Fire Lt Chris Haney and FF’s Scott Hall and Bill Stukey.
A fund has been started to help pay for his medical care which will be long and arduous as you may expect.
I got a photo of him an Lt Haney (attached).
I would ask that you keep this brave 3 year old in your prayers.
Flood Relief – Continued
If you read my last blog posting, you will know that I had a great time at the singer/songwriter workshop in Burlington at The Real School of Music recently.
So here I post the follow up to that night, and it has kinda taken on a life of its own, which I am proud to be a part of.
Woburn native, and Real School owner Tom Byrne who currently lives in Winchester, was able to get the band members of Enter the Haggis to set up a webpage to collect funds for Flood Relief in Eastern Massachusetts, and with some modifications, have been using my photos and video (YES VIDEO!!!) to promote it.
Here is a link to the page, where you can acquire the songs in their finished format, and if you chose, donate $5 to the flood relief fund, which will be given to the American Red Cross.

As always, I welcome your feedback and comments!
Enter the Haggis – Michelle Lewis – Real School of Music
I would like to take a moment on this last day of winter to thank Tom Byrne of the Real School of Music in Burlington, for allowing me to sit in on the Song Writing Workshop held at the fantastic facility earlier this week.
One of my favorite musical groups, Canadian Celtic Band, Enter the Haggis lead the workshop, and were joined by singer songwriter Michelle Lewis, who I had not heard of before. ETH are a fantastic group and what a voice on Michelle – I will ABSOLUTELY be looking up her music!
Lead by ETH’s Trevor Lewington, the group talked about the process of crafting a song, their inspirations, and some of mis-steps along the way. I could not help but see a similarity to the photographic process that I employ. It was a great learning experience for me, and all who were there.
Photo caption: ETH’s Trevor Lewington talks about a song he wrote, concerning this weeks flooding in Eastern Massachusetts, specifically Winchester, where they spent a night at a friends house.
I also used the D300s’s ability to record video and here is a clip from the workshop – it is Enter the Haggis with an acoustic version of “One Last Drink”.

Congrats to the Winchester Girls!
This morning at the Boston Garden or whatever it is called now-a-days, the Winchester Girls defeated Fontbonne Academy of Milton to take the Girls Division 2 State Championship. I am pretty sure this is the first time the program has won the States. Well done ladies and coaches!
All of the photos from todays game can be found on the EVENT PHOTOS page!
GOOD LUCK TO WOBURN TONIGHT!
The Final Games of the Winter Season
Just a last minute reminder that I will be at the Boston Gardentomorrow morning for the Winchester -vs- Fontbonne Academy Girls Div 1 State Championship Hockey game. I will then be back at the Boston Garden at 8:15pm for the Woburn -vs- St Mary’s of Lynn Div 2 Girls Hockey State Championship.
Also, by parental request, I will be at the Boys Hockey All-Star Game on Saturday March 20th at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell.

My First Attempt at Star Trails
My friend from Reading Mass Rick Nohl, recently posted his first attempt at doing Star Trail photos, and I have to admit it is something I have wanted to do for a long, long time. So tonight when the opportunity arose to put the camera in the back yard and take some long exposures, I figured what the heck!
This is actually 9 photos stacked together in Photoshop. My camera, the Nikon D300s, has a built in intervalometer, so I set it to take 9 30 second exposures, one right after another.
Then it took me about an hour to put it all together adjusting the layers so you could see everything. There is an airplane mid-right hand side of the frame, but I think that is inevitable given our proximity to Hanscom and Logan.
If you look closely at the trees, they look red, and I can only guess that that is the tail lights from the cars going down the street.
Comments and Critiques are always welcomed!
Tournament Time!
The MIAA Winter 2010 Tournaments start tomorrow with Basketball and Hockey!
I will be covering many, many games as I have a lot of teams in!
IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL REQUEST FOR PHOTOS of YOUR ATHLETE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!
Thanks!
Mastery of the English Language
Well, I am sure that this sign is not phrased correctly, in any case, I hope it puts even a small smile on your face!
Those Crazy Kids
This weekend’s big game was the Reading at Stoneham Girls Basketball game. The game was at Stoneham High and the place was full of kids and adults, as a win for the Stoneham girls would allow them to be Middlesex League Champs outright. A loss to Reading, would mean that the two teams would share the title.
Apparently, the Spartans, Stoneham’s mascot, got the word out to their students, and many of them came in paint.
Several came in full regalia!
So, I offer today a photo of the crowd, but I must say, I have no idea why Tinky Winky was in attendance !!!
NOTE – I have been informed that this is NOT Tinky Winky, but Po !!
